What did you Fab? March, 2012
The last few weeks have been whirlwind here at the FabCafe. It has been exciting to see that many people visited the cafe and enjoyed our excellent cafe latte as well as Fabbing! We are really glad that it took only 9 days before we celebrated 1000th visitor at the cafe.
If you check this blog often, you should have a good idea as to what “Fab” means by now… (I do know that I keep saying “fab, fab, fab”fanatically. I really hope you haven’t gotten bored yet
The word actually has become the most frequently-appearing word in my life now… ).
For those who are not familiar with the word “Fab”, the FabCafe’s “Fab” comes from both “Fabulous” and “Fabrication”. We use “Fab” in the similar sense of “make” here, but not exactly same meaning.
If you are interested in what Fab is or not sure about it, here are some links to everyone’s Fab. Please take a look and get inspiration!
Also, I’ll show you some examples of Fab works here…
Fab on a wooden board
When they are assembled, they became stamps.
Wooden book cover. The center parts are carved exquisitely.

I hope that you got a great inspiration from everyone’s Fab and you’ll try your idea at the FabCafe soon.
Happy fabbing, everyone!

What a FABulous cafe idea! Love the marshmallow creatures in the coffee. Love the fabrication machine. Wishing you much success and hoping your cafe will open someday in New York City, NY. (It’s the closest major city to where I live four hours north.)
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Yes, if we open the next cafe, we want to make it happen in other countries. Since it’s been only 2 months since the cafe opened, we are still in the middle of learning… if you have a chance to visit Japan, please stop by.
